W2 professorship in the Cognitive Neurosciences of Decision Making Magdeburg, Germany
Within the Center for Behavioral Brain Sciences, the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg is offering a W2 professorship in the Cognitive Neurosciences of Decision Making (Heisenberg Professorship) to begin at the next possible date. This offer is subject to the approval of the German Research Foundation (DFG). Applicants are expected to have an internationally recognized research program with a focus on the Cognitive Neurosciences of Decision Making, documented through relevant publications and the successful acquisition of competitive third-party funding. The research program should closely align with the neuroscientific research priorities of the University. For the latter, substantial cooperation with the existing neuroscience-oriented research networks of the University (DFG Collaborative Research Center 779 - Neurobiology of Motivated Behavior, CBBS) is expected. Furthermore, commitment to teaching in neuroscience-oriented bachelor and master programs is sought. This invitation to tender takes place within the framework of the Heisenberg program of the German Research Foundation (DFG). Prerequisites for the appointment are a habilitation or comparable achievements according to § 35 (2, 3) HSG-LSA as well as a positive assessment of the candidate by the DFG (granting a Heisenberg professorship).
