In this 2 year research project, preferably beginning 01.09.2017, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), we will explore the formation and retrieval of associative memories in young and old adults and in patients with impairments in associative remembering, using behavioural and electrophysiological measures. The project includes a close cooperation with the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Baruch Ivcher School of Psychology in Herzliya, Israel (Prof. Daniel Levy). The position holder will plan and conduct experiments on associative memory including event-related potential (ERP) recording, participate in coordination meetings with our partners in Israel, analyse and document behavioral and ERP data, and collaborate in documentation of the results (publications and work reports). The position includes the opportunity for conducting a doctoral thesis. Experience with event-related potential recordings and analyses and with data analysis packages (e.g. E-prime, Matlab, Brain Vision Analyser, ERPLAB) is preferred.

Mandatory conditions for employment are: MA/MSc in Psychology or Cognitive Neuroscience.
