Postdoctoral Fellowship, Neonatal and Infant Lab, Department of Developmental and Social Psychology, University of Padova Italy**

Outstanding candidates are invited to apply for a two years postdoctoral fellowship in  "Cognitive proceses and their neural bases in early infancy" at University of Padova

   The fellow will work with professor Francesca Simion on one or more projects concerning the origin and development of the social brain and its neural bases at birth and in early infancy.

Fellows will be expected to provide general support for the lab's many projects and more specifically to be in charge of the Geodesic Evoked potentials lab.  The fellow is expected to be a lab manager of the Geodesic Lab with responsibility for overseeing all research functions of the lab, including assisting in recruiting and testing infant participants, designing stimuli for experiments, analyzing data, and developing presentations of data for publications and talks. We seek candidates who have broad interdisciplinary training in cognitive science, with a focus on development of attention and cognitive processes and a strong interest in the neural bases of cognitive processes, development, learning and plasticity. Candidates should have at least a PhD in Cognitive Science or Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience, and research experience in an active lab.

 The Department of Developmental Psychology of the University of Padova provides an intensely energetic and interdisciplinary environment with strong ties to other departments working on issues of mind and brain.
