We seek candidates for a Ph.D. position in cognitive psychology (3 years, full time, starting on the 1st of October 2019) at the Laboratoire d'Etude de l'Apprentissage et du Développement (Laboratory for Research on Learning and Development). Your duties will include running experiments and writing papers in the context of a UBFC-funded project on learning, cognitive control, and neural network modelling headed by Prof. James R. Schmidt. Candidates must have a background in cognitive/experimental psychology (i.e., Master’s in cognitive psychology) with an interest in one or more of the following areas: human contingency learning, binding, cognitive and attentional control, or music cognition. Candidates with sufficient programming experience may additionally contribute to the neural network research program of the lab. The selected candidate will be given flexibility in choosing a research trajectory related to one or more of the above-mentioned themes.
