We have an open research associate position to fill at the laboratory for Cognitive and Experi-mental Psychology at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Salary will be according to TVL-13; 65%. The position is limited to three years and is intended for candidates seeking a PhD. Starting date is approximately June, 1, 2015

The position is linked to a follow-up collaborative project entitled 'Intentional switching of auditory selective attention: Studies on dynamic binaural listening in complex acoustic envi-ronments' led by Prof. Dr. Iring Koch in collaboration with Prof. Dr.-ing Janina Fels, Insitute for Technical Acoustics, RWTH Aachen University. The position is funded by the German Re-search Foundation (DFG). 

The successful candidate is required to work on the aforementioned research project, in tasks ranging from the design and implementation of testing protocols, to the collection and analysis of empirical data (e.g. reaction times), to the writing of original research articles pub-lished in peer-reviewed international journals. In addition, the position requires the regular par-ticipation in internal colloquiums with international guests as well as the participation in national and international scientific meetings. 

Candidates should have a completed degree in Psychology (MSc, MA, or 'Diplom') as well as expertise in experimental psychology and interest in cognitive psychology. We expect good knowledge of statistics, programming experiences (e.g. with Presentation or E-Prime), experiences with SPSS, and fluent English skills. German is not mandatory.
