RWTH Aachen University, Germany, is seeking applicants for teaching and research in the area of the psychology of hearing. Desired starting date is winter semester 2017/18. It is an attractively equipped endowed professorship (HEAD Genuit Foundation) for a fixed term of five years.

Possible research fields are human hearing at the interdisciplinary research interface of psychology, technology and environment (e.g., noise effects). Research-oriented teaching areas include Environmental Psychology. We expect a degree in Psychology, an experimental research approach as well as internationally recognized publication record. Applicants are expected to contribute to the RWTH’s mission of an integrated technical university. Acquisition of third-party funds is essential.

A Ph.D. degree is required; additionally, Habilitation (postdoctoral lecturing qualification) is desirable. Ability in and commitment to teaching are essential. German is not necessary to begin but will be expected as a teaching language within the first 5 years. Application deadline is 20 July 2017.
